Looking for Your Inner Artist After 50?

Looking for Your Inner Artist After 50?

November 12, 2023

Hey there, fabulous ladies over 50! Are you ready to discover the secret to unlocking your artistic genius? Get ready to embrace your creative side and dive into the wonderful world of art with Accidental ArtMaker. We bring you the top five reasons why creating art is the coolest thing you can do at this stage of life. So grab your paintbrushes, put on your favorite smock (fashion-forward, of course!), and let's get started!

1. Stress? Nah, Paint it Away!
Let's face it, life can throw some curveballs at us. But worry not, because art is the perfect stress-buster! Grab our vibrant DIY paints and let your imagination run wild on that canvas. Trust us, unleashing your creativity will transport you to a whole new world, where stress melts away under colorful strokes. Who needs yoga when you've got brushes and pigments?
2. Bye-Bye Boredom, Hello Masterpieces!
Say adios to boredom, my artistic amigas! With Accidental ArtMaker's easy-to-use art products like IOD, Made by Marley and Roycycled, you'll never have a dull moment again. Rainy day? No problem! Whip out your paint and decoupage paper and stencils and watch the magic happen. Creating breathtaking landscapes or whimsical multimedia collage will transport you to a world where time stands still, and every brushstroke adds a bit of excitement to your life.

3. Embrace Imperfection, Because Oopsies are Beautiful!
Forget about perfection, lovely ladies. Accidental ArtMaker celebrates happy accidents! Colored pencils and markers are perfect for exploring your artistic expression without worrying about making things "picture-perfect." Remember, in art, mistakes are simply opportunities for brilliance! So don't be afraid to go outside the lines and let your colorful mishaps become the stars of your canvas. Watch me make mistakes in this tutorial.

4. It's Social Hour, Art Edition!
Who said creating art had to be a solitary pursuit? Grab your besties, your art supplies, and turn your living room into a creative hub! A paint night is the perfect activity with your friends, designed for laughter-filled bonding sessions with friends. (And accidental paint on your besties face.) Let your creativity flow as you sip on some wine, chat, and create beautiful memories along with beautiful art. Plus, you'll have stunning art work to show off at your next gathering!

5. Leave a Legacy, Make an Impact!
Finally, ladies, creating art is not just about personal joy, but also leaving a lasting legacy. And a living legacy. So many of my customers create art with their kids and grand kids. (For some reason, haven't seen too many husbands or partners join in.) And while a bit morbid and way too soon for us to think about, imagine passing down your artworks to your loved ones, becoming a source of inspiration for generations to come. Your unique artistic voice will endure, reminding everyone that age is just a number. I imagine that Grandma Mose's descendants were quite happy.

So, fabulous ladies over 50, it's time to let your creativity flourish with Accidental ArtMaker! Say yes to art, laughter, and self-expression. Whether you're painting, drawing, or mixed-media-ing, embrace the accidental beauty that unfolds on your art projects. Remember, you're never too old to become an artistic superstar! Visit our website, pick your favorite art supplies, and let the fun (and masterpieces) begin!

Disclaimer: Accidental ArtMaker products are not responsible for any excessive giggling, paint splatters, or sudden bursts of artistic talent. Enjoy at your own risk, but rest assured, the joy and laughter are worth it!

Sharon writes so beautifully. She says a lot of what I’m thinking and feeling.
She, herself is inspiration. She definitely has helped me see things in a different light, and continues to. I don’t have the confidence in myself to get back to my art, but she has gotten me closer to it. The many things that she has pointed out to me has me wanting and almost believing in myself again.
I have suffered recent losses of both my children (adults) and my husband in a very short period of time and after 2 years, it seems that it happened just a few months ago. I lost myself, didn’t know who I was, didn’t know how to go on, being a lone for the first time in my life. I had nothing left inside me, definitely no creativity, no looking forward, just getting through a day was a struggle and sometimes it still is. Sharon has given me inspiration, not just in her art, but her truly caring whether I pick up a brush again.
I have never been disappointed in any of her products or suggestions. Orders arrive quickly, accurately and items are in stock.
When I finally do get into doing something that’s presentable, I’ll show it to her first!!
