Beginning My Journey into the Wonderful World of Series Art
👋 Hey there, fabulous artists! Sharon here, your creative companion on this exhilarating art-filled journey during our "golden years". Today, I want to share with you my recent escapades in the realm of series art and why it has become my new obsession.
Now, picture this: You're a woman with a vibrant imagination, a love for all things artistic, and a desire to bring more beauty into your world (sound familiar?). Like many of us, I've often found myself pouring my heart and soul into creating a single masterpiece, only to feel a mix of emotions when it's completed. Sometimes, satisfaction takes over, but other times, a tinge of sadness creeps in, as if bidding farewell to an old friend. And often, I don't even make it to the end and completing my art. My attention gets drawn to creating something else. Or I get unhappy and abandon my current project.
But my dear, I have discovered something truly magical – the wonders of working on a series of art pieces instead! 🌟 Oh, what a revelation it has been! Let me take you along on this whimsical ride that has me falling head over heels for my blossoming wall gallery.
Watch me develop my series on YouTube
Last week, I challenged myself to embark on a new creative adventure. Armed with paintbrushes, inlays, decoupage paper, and an irrepressible sense of curiosity, I dove into the enchanting world of series art. Instead of focusing on just one solitary creation, I decided to let my creativity flow freely across multiple canvases, allowing them to tell a cohesive, captivating story.
And let me tell you, my fellow art enthusiasts, it has been an absolute joyride! 🎢 As I worked on each individual piece, I found myself building a connection with them, as if they were characters in a grand tale waiting to be unfolded. The beauty of series art is that it gives you the freedom to explore different themes, styles, and moods, all within the same series.
There's something incredibly empowering about seeing your art come to life in a collection. With each stroke of the brush, I felt a sense of anticipation and wonder, eagerly watching as my wall gallery grew and transformed into a tapestry of self-expression. 🌺🌈🖌️
What I discovered through this journey is that working on a series of art pieces brings a myriad of benefits, especially for women like us who have gracefully embraced the wisdom and beauty that come with age. First and foremost, it allows us to delve deeper into our creative depths, pushing boundaries and exploring new horizons. It's like a rejuvenating elixir face cream but for our artistic souls instead!
Additionally, working on a series cultivates a sense of focus and discipline, encouraging us to commit to regular artistic practice. (10 minutes a day keeps the cobwebs away!) We become captivated by the story unfolding before our eyes, eagerly anticipating the next chapter in our artistic venture.
But perhaps the most delightful aspect of series art is the ability to create a harmonious visual symphony. Each piece I am working is becoming a unique note in the grand composition of my wall gallery, blending together in perfect harmony. (Knock on wood, because I am not done with my first series yet!) It's like curating a personal art exhibition right in the comfort of our own home – a gallery that tells our story, reflects our passions, and brings joy to our hearts every time we behold it. 🎨💖✨
So, my dear friends, don't limit yourself to just one piece of art at a time. Embrace the joy of creating a series and watch as your creativity blooms into a magnificent masterpiece. Let your imagination run wild and revel in the wonders that unfold.
Next on this artful adventure, I am going to do another series and have a theme to work around instead of focusing on art mediums. Let's fill the world with our vibrant, expressive creations and inspire others to embark on their own artistic journeys.
Until next time, keep creating, keep flourishing, and let the spark of creativity guide you to new horizons! 🌟🎨✨
